Section (A)
- Mention the main causes of the 10 (ten)-year armed conflict in Nepal and provide information about the process adopted during conflict management. [3+7=10]
- Mention the reasons why cultural diversity needs to be managed and the efforts made for its management in Nepal. [5+5=10]
- What is urbanization? What are the reasons for increasing urbanization in Nepal? What aspects need improvement to make cities human-settlement friendly? Present suggestions. [2+4+4=10]
Section (B)
- There is immense potential for investment in Nepal. The government has also been gathering foreign investors from time to time to organize investment summits. Commitments for investments worth billions of rupees are also received in these summits. Numerous efforts have been made in Nepal—ranging from identifying investment sectors to simplifying foreign investment policy, investment-friendly laws, institutional arrangements, and procedural mechanisms. During official foreign visits, private sector entrepreneurs are also taken along to conduct bilateral discussions and invite investment from foreign investors. Provisions for revenue concessions have been made to promote foreign investment. Bilateral investment and trade agreements have also been made with several countries. Foreign investment has entered the water resources sector as well. Some export-oriented industries are running smoothly with foreign investment. It is certain that the dream of "Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali" cannot be fulfilled without attracting foreign investment in large quantities to boost Nepal's gross domestic product. Despite all this, foreign investment in Nepal has not been able to flow in as expected and attempted.Keeping the above-mentioned facts in mind, present your views on the following topics: [5+5+10=20](a) What could be the reasons for foreign investment not flowing into Nepal as expected and attempted?(b) What efforts has Nepal made so far for foreign investment?(c) What strategies and action plans should Nepal adopt to bring in foreign investment? - Education makes a significant contribution to human development. The presence of moral education is found to be weak in our education system. Analyze moral education in relation to making it compatible with human development, professionalism, and international standards. [10]
- Discuss the positive and negative impacts of globalization on the economic and social sectors of Nepal. [10]
- Discussing the practice of community development based on citizen participation that has been followed in Nepal since ancient times, mention the problems seen in gathering citizen participation in development under current circumstances, along with measures for their solution. [3+4+3=10]
Section (D)
- What is understood by biodiversity? Depicting the state of biodiversity in Nepal, what needs to be done for its conservation? Present actionable suggestions. [2+4+4=10]
- What is disaster management? What are the areas and causes of disaster occurrence in Nepal? How can coordination be established among inter-tier governments and agencies in disaster management? Present suggestions. [2+4+4=10]
